Legerement amortie de me retrouver livree a moi-meme apres une semaine ou 8 personnes se sont relayees pour me passer tous mes caprices, j'ai tout d'abord erre de ville fantome en ville fantome (Virgina City et Nevada City, plus la petite ville habitee (!) de Ennis).
Je me suis rapidement apercue que, si je ne voulais pas perdre ce qui me restait de moral, je devais retrouver la civilisation. Je peux vous dire que c'est un vrai challenge ici au Montana.
La ville de Bozeman m'attendait. J'y suis restee 2 jours et j'ai adore. Tout d'abord, ce que vous remarquez c'est son look ringard, avec des publicites des annees '50 dans la seule ou presque rue, puis vous realisez que c'est une ville vivante, jeune, drole et accueillante. J'y ai trouve (en vrac) une galerie d'art contemporain indien (ca change), un cafe ecolo, un quartier de maisons en bois anciennes, deux librairies de seconde main gigantesques, une bibliotheque super equipee (merci pour l'internet gratuit), des dinosaures a la pelle et j'en passe (plein). L'universite du Montana y a un de ses campus (j'adore les campus americains). Je m'y suis sentie comme chez moi. Je reviendrai.
A little bit dizzy, having been pampered for a week by 8 people who just wanted my happiness, I visited the ghost towns of Virginia and Nevada City (plus the almost abandoned one of Ennis), I quickly realized that I had to go back to civilisation if I wanted to keep what I had left of joie de vivre. I can tell you that finding civilisation is a real challenge here in Montana (kidding guys).
The city of Bozeman was waiting for me. I stayed there for 2 days and I loved it. First you only see its provincial look, one street, some amazing ads from the fifties than you realised that it's a busy, young, fun and welcoming city. I found a galerie of Native American modern art (a change), an organic cafe, the historic neighborhood full of old charming wooden houses, two huge second-hand book shops, a library up-to-date (thanks for the free internet access), some dinosaurs and... The MSU has there a big campus (I love American campus(es?). I felt like like at home, I'll come back.
